About this Artwork
Life and death are one thread, the same line viewed from different sides. -Lao Tzu
I found this quote fitting and comforting, thinking about our existence going on even after death. I photographed this fantastic dance crew in London at the memorial for the 2007 London bombings. At first I was drawn to the visual beauty of the space but then I realized what an opportunity we had to bring life back to the memory of innocent lives lost; To set a reminder that death isn’t the end, just another journey, one I hope will be more enlightened than what we experience in this lifetime. To any families or victims who have faced traumatic experiences in this lifetime, know you are loved and supported.
I hope this photograph taps your vulnerability and brings you peace when you view it in your space.
