It's July in Madrid, Spain and the sun is shining - life is pouring out of every bar, theatre, store and terrace - the city is rejoicing in the warmth of summer. My friend Miroslava is performing with the official production of Lion King at the Teatro Lope de Vega in the center of the city. We meet for drinks and she suggests, why don't we photograph my dance team from the show in your unique style? I immediately agree, how can I say no? Her friend James knows of an abandoned monastery that is welcoming to the arts, so we book a van and a few days later we're on the road to a stunning architectural gem just a few hours outside the city.
I had a very clear vision of the formation I wanted, and with the help of the dancers, we built this shape together as the sweet property keeper watched and cheered us on. The natural light was exactly what I'd hoped for, and this magic vision evolved into reality.
I hope when you view this piece, you're enamored by the magic of the past and present. I hope the ancient walls of this monastery remind you of the thousands of years of ancestry that brought you to this moment - to be exactly who you are. May we find joy in traveling through time - ignited by the power of dance, architecture and light.

Presented on acid-free, archival cotton Photo Rag Giclée paper with a chalky smooth finish, from Hahnemühle the world’s oldest mill who have been producing fine art papers for more than 500 years. Guaranteed archival life of 100+ years.
The frames are made in Germany from FSC®-certified wood. The wood comes from sustainably managed forests that meet the criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council. They are equipped with edge-ground float glass, an acid-free insert and a sturdy rear panel. The windows are made from glass. The rear panels are equipped with hangers in portrait and landscape format. The Oak frames are solid wood from FSC®-certified sources with an Oak veneer.

Orders are dispatched within 3-5 days working days. Thereafter, they should arrive within 1 to 4 days to the UK/Europe, in 2 to 5 days to North America and 5 to 7 days for Australia/New Zealand. Other destinations may vary - please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery. Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email.
Our printing company is 100% carbon neutral and all our packaging is environment friendly. Everything is either recyclable or biodegradable and that includes the stickers, tape, compostable bubble wrap as well as the frame edge protectors used.
Your artwork will be sustainably packaged and well protected, but on the rare occasion there are issues, we will make it right. More information here.
